Ps 72:2-9
May he judge Your people with righteousness And Your afflicted with justice. Let the mountains bring peace to the people, And the hills, in righteousness. May he vindicate the afflicted of the people, Save the children of the needy And crush the oppressor. Let them fear You while the sun {endures,} And as long as the moon, throughout all generations. May he come down like rain upon the mown grass, Like showers that water the earth. In his days may the righteous flourish, And abundance of peace till the moon is no more. May he also rule from sea to sea And from the River to the ends of the earth. 9 Let the nomads of the desert bow before him, And his enemies lick the dust. Amen, and Amen.

NEPC PArticularized!
30 July 2006 the Nikolaev Presbyterian has been particularized! The commission of the Presbytery has been present on the particularization ceremony. On the photo (please hover mouse to see the larger image) from left to right: Revs. Heero Haquebord, Valeriy Babynin, Andrey Vakulenko, George Cadyan, John Eide, Alexander Bukovetsky, Randy Mayfield, Alexei Rayu. I (Alexei Rayu) had been examined for ordination and ordained on October 30, 2005. Andrey Vakulenko was ordained as a ruling elder on the particularization service. After the service, elections were held, and I was elected pastor.
This is not only a huge step forward for the Nikolaev Presbyterian congregation, but also for the Presbyterian Church in Ukraine itself. NikPres became particular third, thus creating a possibility for a legal functional presbytery to be organized.
ukrainian site under construction
The Ukrainian site construction is on the way. The Russian language will be used to increase compatibility in the CIS. The site will carry the latest news and their review in the light of the Christian Reformed perspective, and the news from the life of the NikPres Church and the Presbytery. Besides, the site will have the materials, devotinals and articles in Russian. A forum will be set up to increase communication. Certain documents and standards of faith will be available for the download along with the wallpapers and screensavers.
The one service that this web site will utilize is the column system that will allow for the young writers to test their writing skills online.
evangelism approach
The Church is continuing to orient itself out for the evangelism. We are trying to ustilize our strong sides and the abilities that the Lord has given us. We already have started the courses on premarital councelling, the web design and English courses are on the way.
We plan to have more contact with the state organizations like orphanages and social agencies that should be potentially interested to have free courses for the groups they are working with. Please pray that the Church would become even more outwards-oriented, that we would all view our activities in the light of spiritual opportunities with more and more discernment. Our city and our country needs to hear and learn the Truth, and it's up to us to bring it on, not waiting for the people to come all by themselves.
